FLETCHER McGURIMAN JOAN age 71, of Montgomery Township, died at home Feb. 8, 2005, after a 412 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was the wife of Joseph A.

McGuriman and they had celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in June. Born in she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Rose (Ficca) Zirpoli and she graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1951. Until her youngest child was in her mid-teens, she was a dedicated homemaker. She entered, then worked for 3 years as an office manager for Skilled Nursing, Inc. and for 14 years as a Human Resources Administrator for ECRI, in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Upper Gwynedd and formerly a member of St. Joseph Parish in Ambler, St. Helena and Good Shephard parishes in Phila. Joan was devoted to her family and loved to travel. She enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino's.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 children, Joseph S. McGuriman and his wife Patricia of Hatfield, Rosemary M. Doberstein and husband Thomas of Horsham, Michael K. McGuriman and wife Kathy of Lansdale and Eileen J. Macosko and husband Jeffrey of Montgomery Township, 12 grandchildren 2 stepgrandchildren, one brother Vincent Zirpoli and his wife Loretta Timonium, MD, and 2 sisters, Adeline Cannon and husband Gene of Havertown and Roseanne Gillespie of Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her brother Anthony of Springfield, Delaware County. The family will greet friends and relatives in Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike in Upper Gwynedd from 9 to 10:45 A.M on Saturday, Feb. 12. A Funeral Mass will follow promptly at 11 A.M. Interment St.
