Summers, 85, the former Jane R. Donahue, died Tuesday at Mercy Catholic Medical Center.

She lived at 215 Pilgrim lane, Drexel Hill. Surviving are two sons, the Rev." Charles J. and Arthur two daughters, Mrs. Ber-nadine McCormack and Mrs. Jane Raymond; three sisters, Mrs.

Charles J. Buckley, Miss Edna and Mrs. Louis L. Little; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered Saturday noon at St.

Dorothy's Church, Burmont and Township Line, Drexel Hill. Burial will be- at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadbn. Eugene F. Kahmar, former Phila-delphian who died of a heart attack Monday at his home, 3611 Northeast 18th Pompano Beach, Fla. He was 73. Mr. Kahmar, a retired machinist, is survived by his wife, the former Rose Gentsch; two daughters, Mrs.

Margaret Tyszka and Mrs. Mary Dimter; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret McCaffre and Mrs. Emma Renn, and five grandchildren. Services will be 10 A.

M. at James W. Downs Funeral Home, 443 E. Girard ave. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, Montgomery County.

Deaths Elsewhere S. A. Murphy, 53, Head of Coast Lumber Firm Stanwood A. Murphy, 53, board chairman of Pacific Lumber of a heart attack in Fortuna, Calif. He became nresident of the company in 1961 and moved up to chairman and chief; executive officer last year.

Brig. Gen. Joseph E. Barzyn-ski, 88, who served in World War I and II and was liaison officer to the Polish Republic, at his summer home in Lac du Flambeau, Wis. Helen Gilkey, 86, a retired member of the Oregon State University faculty and an internationally recognized authority on the European delicacy of truffles, in Cor-vallis, Ore.

Mrs. Gilkey also was known for her research in flowering plants and noxious weeds. Retired Navy Vice Adm. John Perry, 75, skipper of the aircraft carrier USS Bel-leau Wood during World War II, after a lengthy illness, in Oak Harbor, Wash. Adm.

Perry also served in the Korean War and retired in 1959 as commander of Fleet Air Whidbey, Whidbey Island, Wash. Wendell Wendel-Smith, 73, a specialist in rare sheet music and old textbooks, who since 1931 had been a major supplier of out-of-print editions, in Los Angeles, after a long illness. M. E. Ricketts, 91, chairman of the giant music publishing firm of Chappell's, in London.

In 1901, shortly after he founded the Gramophone Co. of Great Britain, he bought an advertising idea from an artist. It was a white dog listening to "His Master's Voice" emerging from the horn of a phonograph and was to become the trademark of RCA Corp. Princess Aspasia of Greece, 72, widow of Greek King Alexander, in a Venice hospital. Johns Hopkins, a former UGI executive, died suddenly at his vacation home in Prout's Neck, Me.

on Wednesday. He was 79 and lived at the Tedwin Apartments, 840 Montgomery Bryn Mawr. Mr." Hopkins retired in 1958 as secretary-treasurer; of the United Gas Improvement which later became UGI. He was a graduate of Episcopal Academy and the University of Pennsylvania in 1915. DURING WORLD War I he served as a captain in the U.S.

Army in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart; He became assistant secretary of the United Gas Improvement Co. in 1926 and was named secretary-treasurer in 1943. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Philadelphia Club, me Merion Cricket Club, the Gulph Mills Golf Club, and St.

Anthony's Club. Surviving are his wife, vthe former Emilie D. Williams; a son, Johns Hopkins and three daughters, Mrs. Nicho-. las Biddle Mrs.

William Justice Lee, and Mrs. TTiomas M. McMillan, 3d; 13 grandchil-' dren and one great-grandchild, held on Friday in Largo. Funeral plans incomplete. tt 1 Ur.

1 Oilipley, Ti oi Dr. Vincent Shipley, a retired physician and former medical director for the Presbyterian Ministers Fund, died Tuesday of heart failure while on vacation in Snarks. Md. A graduate oi iviary vine College and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, Dr. Shipley was 81 and lived at 4701 Pine st He is survived by his wife, the former Margretta Pearce; a daughter; Betty Ann Seif-fert; a son, C.

Bennett; a sister, Dr. Gertrude Shipley; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at the Andrew J. Bair and Son Funeral Home, 3925 Chestnut st.

Burial will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery. R. F. Szweda, FuneralDirector Raymond F. Szweda, a former funeral director of St.

Martin of Tours Church, Oxford Circle, died on Tuesday of a heart attack at Jeanes Hospital. He was 79 and lived at 161 W. Clearview Huntingdon Valley. Mr. Szweda was a former secretary of the Automobile Livery Association and of the Funeral Directors Association.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond J. and Leonard six grandchildren and two great-grandsons. A Solemn Requiem Mass will be sung at 10 A. M. Saturday at.

Grace's Death Ruled Suicide CAMDEN. The Camden County prosecutor's office has ruled that Edwin J. Grace, the alleged slayer of six persons in Cherry Hill on June 21, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Grace, 33, of Brooklyn, died July 8 after being charged with the killings. Six other persons were wounded in the shooting spree which occurred the Heritage Building on N.

Kings Highway. The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were commemorated in a Vietnam war protest march and rally in center city Wednesday night. About 75 marchers, accompanied by members of the police Civil Disobedience Squad, walked from City Hall to 11th and Market sts. and back to William Riikin, Lingerie Maker William Rifkin, who founded William Rifkin and Sons, lingerie manufacturers at 5744 Market in 1913, died on Tuesday in Atlantic City Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was 77 and lived at 816 Cypress Yeadoa.

He was a member of the Yeadon Jewish Center and the Chelsea Hebrew Synagogue in Atlantic City. $100,000 in Drugs Seized in Delaware Around Delaware Valley Delaware State Police have confiscated the largest quantity of cocaine and heroin in the state's history in a raid near Wilmington. Nine persons were arrested in the raid at a. motel room near U. S. Highway 13 in New Castle County.

Valued at about $100,000 in street sales, the drugs included an ounce and a half of cocaine, an equal amount of heroin, a pound of marijuana and a number of pills. State Police, who conducted the raid with New Castle' county and Wilmington police, said the drugs probably came into Delaware from Fbrida. Senior Citizens to March for Fare Cut About 100 senior citizens meeting at the YMYWHA voted to dramatize their demands for lower fares by carrying signs and marching "two abreast" to a 4:30 P. M. Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) board meeting on Aug. 16. The senior citizens will march from a preliminary meeting at 2:30 P.

M. in the Adelphia Hotel, 13th and Chestnut sts. to the PSFS Building, where they will meet with SEPTA chairman James McConnon and other board members. SEPTA will consider its own proposal to cut the present 25-cent senior citizen fare to 15 'cents during off-hours, holidays and weekends. The senior citizen groups have been seeking an unrestricted 10-cent fare.
