TAKEN TO JAIL phone, Mrs.

Buridrogo turned her companion and said: "Ah! He's calling for records." The office staff was shocked. There was no doubt the woman was perhaps guilty of arguing with a person in authority.

But jail? The next morning Mrs. Buridrogo appeared, before Municipal Sklar. She was found guilty as charged, and sentenced to a $25 fine and $5 court costs or 15 days in jail. It was signed over a line reading Howard J. Theckston, Clerk.

One of the 15 notes was delivered to The Inquirer by an office worker who begged not to be identified. "Everyone was bitter from the the informant said. "Then, to top it off, we got the letter."
