Dr. Robert Sidey Shaw EAST LANSING, Feb. 7 (AP). Dr. Robert Sidey Shaw, president emeritus of Michigan State College, died of a heart attack tonight.

He was 81. Dr. Shaw served as president of Michigan State from 1928 until his retirement in 1941 when he was succeeded by his son-in-law, Dr. John A. Hannah.

Before becoming president of the college. Dr. Shaw served as dean of agriculture and director of the college experiment station from 1908. His foresight In purchasing 1000 acres of land surrounding the college is credited with having been an Important factor in the development of the school. He also initiated a program for extensive building projects that were financed from their revenues.

Morris L. Gay Morris L. Gay, who had been associated with the textile industry for many ears, died Friday in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He was 75. Mr.

Bertolet, of 309 Washington a physician and surgeon here for more than 50 years, died this morning while being taken in an ambulance to a hospital after collapsing at his home. He was 79. An Army surgeon in the First World War, Dr. Bertolet had served as surgeon of the Hunter Liggett Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, since 1921. Officers of the pest and its auxiliary had met only last night to plan a testimonial dinner for him next month.

Bom in Oley, Berks county, Dr. Bertolet served for a number of years as examiner for the State Chest Clinic here. He was a mem I-2 523 REIDENGER. Feb. 8th.
