SJ Doull Wednesday, July 23. 1980 Philadelphia Inquirer 3-D Franklin C. Senior Franklin Cumming Senior, 65, a metallurgical engineer and authority on the design of steel-smelting furnaces, died Monday at Brattleboro (Vt.) Memorial Hospital. A native of the Germantown section of the city, he had been living in Phoenix, and Williamsville, Vt. He was a graduate of Penn State University and was once associated with the Bethlehem Steel the Koppers and the Kuljian Corp.

of Philadelphia. Later, he formed the firm of Senior, Juenling Knall, with headquarters in Birmingham, Ala. Recently, he was active in setting up recycling operations in California and Arizona. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Knowles Senior; a daughter, Nancy Schimk; a son, David; two grandchildren and a brother. Memorial services will be held Wednesday in Williamsville, and at 11 a.m.

Saturday at Calvary Episcopal Church, Manheim and Pulaski Streets, Germantown. Milton Malish Milton Malish, 42, sales and mar. keting director for a Camden printing firm, died of a heart attack Sunday at Cooper Medical Center in Camden. He lived in Cheltenham Township. Mr.

Malish directed operations of Permalith Laminating 23d and Federal Streets, Camden. He was an active member of Congregation Adath Jeshrun. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Sturm Malish; two sons, John and Jedd; his mother, Mrs. Ida Malish, a brother and a sister. A service will be at 2 p.m.

Wednesday at Goldsteins' Funeral 6410 N. Broad St. Burial will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose. Edward S. Goldberg Edward S.

Goldberg, 80, a civic worker and former Philadelphia manufacturer, died Tuesday at Hahnemann Hospital. He lived at 2601 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Mr. Goldberg was co-owner of the Bunting a manufacturer of outdoor furniture. He retired in 1965.

He was a member of the board of the March of Dimes and was a volunteer worker for the thrift shop operated for the Federation of Jewish Agencies. He was a Mason and a member of the Locust Club and Congregation Rodeph Shalom. is survived by his wife, Mildred D. Fried Goldberg; two daughters, Ruth G. Blum and Joanne Klein, and a son, William Wexelblatt.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose. Death Notices J. McKeever, veteran Phila. sports official James R. (Pete) McKeever, 73, a well-known Philadelphia area sports official, died Sunday in Germantown Hospital. He lived at the Park Drive Manor in Germantown.

Mr. McKeever, a former recreation supervisor for the city, officiated at independent and high school league basketball and football games and at track-and-field competitions for 42 years. He retired in 1971. During his career with Philadelphia's Department of Recreation, he spent 22 years as director of the Waterview Recreation Center Germantown, 18 years at the Bridesburg Recreation Center and three years at the Vare Recreation Center. He was secretary of the Germantown Kiwanis Club, a member of the William H.

Markward Club, the Maxwell Club, East Germantown Old Timers, and the 1 Track and Field Officials Club. Friends said he was as avid a sports fan as he was a conscientious official. In recent years, they reported, he had attended all the "Big 5" games at the Palestra. He served with the Air Force during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. Mr.

McKeever had no immediate survivors. A viewing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Vincent De Paul Church, 109 E. Price Germantown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered there at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Broomall. Dr. Leonard Berwick Dr.

Leonard Berwick, 65, a pathologist and researcher in cancer and diabetes, died Saturday at Pennsylvania Hospital. He lived on Hawthorne Road in Wallingford. An associate professor of pathology at the Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania, he was a recipient of the Lindback Award for distinguished teaching. He had been a member of the faculty since 1955. He was a member of the Electron Microscope Society, the American Association of Pathologists and the American Association for Cell Biology.

A graduate of New York University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, he trained at Philadelphia General Hospital and at Presbyterian Hospital. He served from 1942 to 1947 with the Air Force. He was discharged with the rank of major. Surviving are his wife, Mary gar Berwick; two daughters, Barbara Wright and Elizabeth; two sons, Philip and Robert, and a brother. No funeral services were planned.

Roy Cross Gibbs Roy Cross Gibbs, 88, a former Camden manufacturer and a leading Mason, died Saturday in Mercer County Medical Center, Trenton. Formerly of Pitman, N.J., he lived in Harbourtown, N.J. Mr. Gibbs was president and owner the J. C.

Dunn manufacturer of hard surface floor coverings. He was a 33d-degree Mason, past presiding officer of the Scottish Rite and former potentate of the more than 11,000 Shriners in central and South Jersey. He was a member of the board of trustees and executive committee of the Crescent Temple in Trenton. He was also a member of the Union League, Tavistock and Seaview Country Clubs, and the United Methodist Church of Pitman. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia F.

Borgard; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a brother. A viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday Cromwell Funeral Home, 71 E. Prospect Hopewell, N.J. Masonic services will be there at 8 p.m.

Clyde Jr. Samuel Dyer Clyde 62, a Delaware County real estate broker, died of cancer Sunday in Riddle Memorial Hospital. He lived in Upper Providence Township. He was a senior partner in Sweeney Clyde, a Chester real estate and insurance firm. He was a former official and director of the Delaware County Board of Realtors and was divisional chairman of the United Way.

Mr. Clyde was a graduate of the Episcopal Academy and Cornell University. He was a World War II veteran of the infantry, in which he served from 1941 to 1946 and achieved the rank of major. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Thackara Clyde; two sons, Samuel D. and William three grandchildren and two sisters.

Hudson was senior vice president of the J.E. Brenneman a Philadelphia firm specializing in bridge and marine construction, until his retirement in 1978. He was considered an expert in underwater construction, marine development and harbor clearing. The firm in recent years has built ferry slips, sections of Interstate 95 and the Blue Route and docks for Philadelphia refineries. Its workers also handled the raising of the burned-out hulk of the Greek tanker Elias after the tanker exploded and burned in 1974 at the Fort Mifflin Marine Terminal and the raising of the Liberian tanker Corinthos, which exploded and burned at Mar- cus Hook in 1975 after it was struck by the Edgar M.

Queeny. Mr. Hudson joined the Brenneman firm in the early 1920s, working in construction management. He was elected secretary in 1946, vice president in 1957 and senior vice president in 1961. Active in Masonic affairs, Mr.

Hudson was a member of the Engineers Club of Philadelphia and the Ports of Philadelphia Maritime Society. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Jane Scouler; two granddaughters, three great-grandchildren and a brother. (Muktuk) Marston, 91, who founded the Alaska Eskimo Scouts as a watchdog force against a possible Japanese invasion during World War II, died Monday at Desert Hospital in Palm Springs, where he had recently undergone surgery. Mr. Marston, who spent 35 years in Alaska, proposed and carried out the organization of a highly mobile force of Eskimos to guard the Alaskan coast.
